Later, after his parents divorced, she moved with her mother and younger brother, Alex, in Oxfordshire. At the age of six years, Watson wanted to be an actress, and for several years she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a theater school part time where she studied singing, dancing and comedy. At the age of ten, she starred in various productions and plays Stagecoach, including Arthur: The Young Years and The Happy Prince, but she had never acted professionally before the Harry Potter series. “I had no idea of the size of the film series,” she said in a 2007 interview with Parade, “if I had I would have totally overwhelmed.”
Harry Potter in 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (published as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the U.S.), an adaptation of the bestselling novel by British author JK Rowling. Important for casting directors were the lead role of Harry Potter and the supporting roles of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, Harry’s best friend. casting agents found Watson through her drama teacher at Oxford, and producers were impressed by his confidence. After eight auditions, producer David Heyman told Watson and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they cast in the role of Hermione, Harry and Ron, respectively. Rowling support Watson’s first test screen.
The release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, Watson’s performance screen debut. The film broke records for opening day and opening weekend Companies sales and the film was the biggest hit of 2001. Critics praised the performances of three son, often singling out Watson for particular reputation, The Daily Telegraph called her performance “admirable”, and IGN said it ” stole the show. “Watson was nominated for five awards for her performance in Philosopher’s Stone, winning the Young Artist Award for leading young actress.
A year later, Watson again played the role of Hermione in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second episode of the series. Although the film received mixed reviews, the reviewers were positive about the main characters’ performances. The Los Angeles Times said Watson and his colleagues had matured between films, while The Times criticized director Chris Columbus for “under-utilization” highly popular Watson. Watson received an award Otto the German magazine Bravo for his performance.

Critics praised the increasing maturity of Watson and her teenage co-stars, the New York Times called his performance “serious emotional.” For Watson, much of the humor of the film came from the tension between the three main characters as they mature. She said: “I loved all the arguing … I think it’s more realistic that they would and there would be problems .. “Nominated for three awards for Goblet of Fire, Watson won a bronze Otto. Later that year, Watson became the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue, she takes a look in August 2009. Radcliffe has finally signed the latest movies on March 2, 2007, but Watson was much more hesitant. She explained that the decision was important because the films are another four year commitment to the role, but finally admitted that she “could never let [the role of] Hermione go, “the signature for the role of 23 March 2007.
